Laura Sherlock has been running high profile PR campaigns for major UK publishing houses for nearly two decades. She started her own consultancy in July 2011 and her current authors include Val McDermid, Mark Billingham and Andy McNab.
She regularly undertakes projects for a variety of publishers including Little, Brown (a division of Hachette), Silvertail, various divisions of Penguin Random House (Transworld, Cornerstone, Vintage, PRH Childrens), Chicken House, HarperCollins and Faber. Her contacts in broadcast, print and digital media are exemplary and she has close working relationships with most of the major literary festivals and a wide range of event organisers throughout the UK.
Laura started her publishing career at Orion working across commercial and literary imprints (Orion Books, Victor Gollancz and Weidenfeld & Nicolson) before moving to Midas PR where she devised numerous campaigns for publishing houses including Penguin, Dorling Kindersley, Simon & Schuster and Random House.
In 2002 she joined Transworld, where she spent the next nine years, the last four as Associate Publicity Director. In this role, Laura had responsibility for the promotion of many of Transworld’s biggest brands including Sophie Kinsella, Andy McNab, Terry Pratchett and Paul McKenna as well as devising campaigns for high profile celebrity autobiographies including Rob Lowe, Cheryl Cole and Derren Brown.
