Laura Sherlock is a book publicist with 16 years experience of high profile fiction and non fiction campaigns. She started her own consultancy in July 2011 and current clients include Vintage, Transworld, Little,Brown, Constable & Robinson, Cornerstone, Silvertail, Chicken House and Random House Children’s Publishers.
She started her publishing career at Orion working across commercial and literary imprints (Orion Books, Victor Gollancz and Weidenfield & Nicolson) before moving to Midas Public Relations where she devised numerous campaigns for publishing houses including Penguin, Dorling Kindersley, Simon & Schuster and Random House.
In 2002 she joined Transworld (part of Penguin Random House UK) where she spent the following nine years, the last four as Associate Publicity Director. In this role, Laura had responsibility for the promotion of many of Transworld’s biggest brands including Sophie Kinsella, Andy McNab, Terry Pratchett and Paul McKenna as well as high profile celebrity
autobiographies including Rob Lowe, Cheryl Cole and Derren Brown. Laura has experience on campaigns covering all genres, from popular science to history, gardening to sports, literary novels to crime fiction, young adult to autobiography.
